CareCircle's mission is to help deliver a vast and inexpensive source of practical and emotional support to families, caregivers, and individuals in need. CareCircle programs do this by reconnecting communities that have become less functional as a result of a number of social trends. We help small groups of volunteers become productive teams by providing them with a step-by-step menu of activities that help provide support by 1) thoroughly assessing needs, 2) inviting friends, family, and selected others to participate, and 3) providing a wide range of ways for individuals to contribute to the support effort. Headquartered in Pleasantville, New York, CareCircle provides support programs to employers and individuals. CareCircle programs can provide welcome support in a variety of situations, including illness, elder care, a new baby, and bereavement. CareCircle was founded by Janice and Brian Gallick, who have a rich background in volunteer activities, technology and the Internet. The programs' genesis was a series of personal tragedies that they experienced in 2001 and 2002, and the support program that was put together for them by friends. The community response to the support program and its Web site was overwhelming, and the givers were the most appreciative; expressing heartfelt thanks for the opportunity to contribute in a way that they knew was appropriate, at a level they felt comfortable with. Brian and Janice saw the need to make this type of program broadly available, and have dedicated their efforts to this cause. Additional information about CareCircle and CareCircle community-powered support programs is available by following the links on this page, by emailing info@carecircle.com, or by calling Janice Gallick at 914.741.6742.
